Green Leaf Construction Begins Renovations for F.W. Webb in Manchester, NH

Green Leaf has begun construction to expand F.W. Webb’s operations in Manchester, NH. Construction involves the gut and renovation of the former 22,000 square foot Kimark building in the lot directly adjacent to Webb’s existing facility on Beech Street in Manchester. The work involves significant modifications to the building’s façade and envelope including the removal and replacement of the building’s roof and addition of new insulation and siding. Additionally, structural modifications will be made including the removal of all interior load-bearing walls and installation of new footings and columns to restructure the building and provide an open-concept floorplan. Green Leaf will also be installing a complete water service and new HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems.

Once complete, the new facility will house an expanded 12,000 square foot Self-Serve area, high-bay warehouse and an open-office concept allowing more space for sales staff to interact and provide customer service for customers. The existing Manchester warehouse and Frank Webb’s Bath Showroom will remain at their current location.

“This project is a great example of the adaptive reuse of an existing structure,” said Green Leaf Superintendent Mike Mason. “We have basically gutted the building down to a shell. Once we have completed the structural modifications, re-roofing and re-siding, it will effectively be a brand-new building.”

Green Leaf Construction is a construction management, design build and general contracting firm located in Leominster, Mass. serving commercial, industrial and institutional organizations throughout the Northeast.
